“In America the president reigns for four years, and journalism governs forever and ever.” -Oscar Wilde
Today’s thought is simple - or at least, it’s trying to be. In a world where everything is loud, fast, and constant, simplicity - I think - has become a differentiator.
But what does “simple” mean when it comes to news?
Let me try to make it tangible.
If you could only choose one source to get your news from - just one - what would it be, and why?
It’s a slightly absurd question. I get it. Some people don’t follow the news at all. Others bounce between podcasts, newsletters, videos, TV, social feeds, and conversations. There are options everywhere - local, national, hyper-local, niche, independent, institutional. The volume never stops.
Which is exactly why the question may matter.
What actually helps you think, not just react?
Simplicity isn’t about having less access. It’s about making clearer choices.
