A city is only as good as the stories it tells. And we all share the responsibility to tell them.

I’ve long believed in my hometown. Milwaukee’s lack of pretense is one of its greatest advantages. It makes room for authenticity, consistency and connection. It allows us to lead with purpose, not only polish.

The question is, are we content to wait for validation—or are we focused on creating the kind of work, culture, and community that earns it naturally? You should ask this of your city, too.

Let’s keep producing. Let’s keep telling the stories that show what our communities really are—and what they can become.
